How We Work Together

Building a great website is a collaborative process. This page explains how we’ll work together so your project stays organized, efficient, and focused on creating the best possible result.

Communication

To keep your project organized in a simple manner, we’ll use just a few tools throughout the project.

I don’t use email as an instant messenger. If a conversation starts requiring several back-and-forth messages, it’s usually faster and more productive to schedule a Zoom call. You can do that anytime using my Calendly link.

To keep everything organized, I don’t conduct project discussions through text messages or multiple messaging platforms. Keeping communication in one place helps ensure nothing gets overlooked, and keeps us all from frantic messaging that distracts from getting focused work done.

The Process

Every website project follows the same general process.

  1. Strategy & Planning

  2. Content & Images

  3. Website Design

  4. Review & Revisions

  5. Launch

Keep in mind that some of the most important work for your project happens behind the scenes. Even if you don’t see visible updates every day, trust that your project is moving forward, and I will deliver the next phase of your project on the promised date and time.

Our Roles

You know your business, your customers, and your goals. My role is to translate that knowledge into a website that’s clear, professional, and designed to help you attract more customers.

We’ll first agree on the overall strategy and direction during the introductory Zoom call. From there, I’ll make the many design decisions required to create a polished, effective website. Your feedback is welcome, and I’ll explain my recommendations whenever they differ from your initial ideas.

Rather than asking you to approve hundreds of individual design decisions, I’ll present cohesive solutions that we can refine together after I deliver a draft. This enables me to do my job well, and keep the project moving while producing a stronger final result.

Keeping Your Project Moving

I work hard to meet the deadlines I commit to. Once I’ve delivered a milestone, the pace of the project depends largely on how quickly I receive your content, feedback, and approvals.

Delays are completely understandable, but please know that they will naturally extend the overall project timeline since I’m actively serving multiple clients.

Whenever possible, provide authentic, high-quality photography. Professional images almost always create a stronger first impression than AI-generated images, and help build greater trust with your audience.

I’m excited to work with you and look forward to creating a website that represents your business well!
